About Us

Established in 1978 , Southern Pumps Ltd have established ourselves as one of the leading drilling and pump companies in the South of Ireland.

We are a family run business with three family members with combined experience of over 50 years. Tadhg manages the sales and service. Paul and Declan are involved in all aspects of the drilling operations.

Our late Father Declan Barry started Southern Pumps Ltd back in 1978. In 1991 he bought our first drilling rig and two of his Sons, Paul & Declan, worked on the rig with him. To say it was a steep learning curve would be putting it mildly, but learn we did and in 1994 we purchased a second rig and continued to grow the drilling side of the business from there. In the following years we have gathered a wealth of experience from working with Hydrogeologist, our own experiences and feed back from the staff at Southern Pumps Ltd.

We have learned alot from our experiences in the drilling industry in Ireland. We will continue to learn and strive to do the very best for our valued customers.
